Frequently Asked Questions
How are these classes educational?
The classes are educational and help your children’s development because;
Music and dancing is good for children’s development:
- Exposing children to music during early development years helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words and helps the mind and body work together.
- Dancing to music helps children build motor skills whilst allowing them to practice self expression. Music also strengthens memory skills.
- Incorporating music and movement in early childhood education helps young children with social interaction and language growth.
Toddlers learn from musical instruments: as it helps with their sensory development. When they are able to create and explore ideas using musical instruments, it creates more pathways in their brains. Banging a drum will help with their gross motor skills, but opening and closing fingers for a castanet helps with fine motor skills.
Imaginative play is very so important. The process of pretending builds skills in lots of essential developmental areas. When your child engages in pretend/dramatic play, they are actively experimenting with social and emotional roles of life. Through cooperative play, they will learn how to share responsibility, take turns and creatively problem solve.
Your child’s ability for problem solving and critical thinking evolve from imagination. Creative problem solving and critical thinking encourages your child to think outside the box and stimulates their own ability to overcome obstacles with confidence.
Creative play is instrumental to a child’s development. Creative play is a vital part of childhood and child development. Through imaginative and creative play children can grow emotionally, intellectually and socially. Creative experiences help a child develop these skills and enable them to share their thoughts, feelings and ideas.
