Preschool Class

Fun, creative, educational Drama class designed for 3-5 year olds

The emphasis on the preschool class is role play and imagination, and not creating actors. Through role play children will learn skills for life which are key for starting school.  This class is suitable for shy children who need to become more confident as well as budding performers!

For this class, parents wait outside the classroom to encourage children to be independent and prepare them for starting school. However, at the end of every term family and friends are invited along to watch the lesson and to see what your child has learnt.

Educational Foundations

Why is imaginative play so important?

The process of pretending builds skills in lots of essential developmental areas. When your child engages in pretend/dramatic play, they are actively experimenting with social and emotional roles of life. Through cooperative play, they will learn how to share responsibility, take turns and creatively problem solve.

Creative Play

Why is creative play important for a child’s development?

Creative play is a vital part of childhood and child development.Through imaginative and creative play children can grow emotionally, intellectually and socially. Creative experiences help a child develop these skills and enable them to share their thoughts, feelings and ideas.

Why is it important for children to use imagination?

Your child’s ability for problem solving and critical thinking evolve from imagination. Creative problem solving and critical thinking encourages your child to think outside the box and stimulates their own ability to overcome obstacles with confidence.
